Sometimes, somebody just says it like it is.
For most people, or I hope at least that it is for most people, your parents are everything and they are awesome and they are the most important people in your life. However, not everyone is so lucky. Some people sadly end up with abusive parents.
While systems exist around the world to stop abusive parents, it is true that in cultures such as those of Pakistan and India, a parent is a parent, and hence immune from all scrutiny from their kids. They are often looking to please their relatives more than their own children.
The tweets below basically say it like it is.
The following thread says it all.
I have left the original tweet below as well:
Why cant we talk about abusive parents? Whats this disgusting mindset that we should respect our parents even if they treat us like shit? O bc hum bhi insaan hi hain https://t.co/2KSgNRwbS8

What are your thoughts? Do you agree? Are you one of the lucky ones? Are you somebody who is a parent themselves? Do you agree with this as a parent?
Do let us know.
